Health Plan enrollment for the Postal Service workforce

Make the most of your Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) Program. Enroll in APWU Health Plan during Open Season, November 10 – December 8, 2025.

Enroll as a career employee

Our High Option and Consumer Driven Option plans are open to PSHB-eligible employees who are dues-paying members of APWU and associate members of the union.

Enroll as a PSE

New PSEs are eligible for the USPS health plan for non-career employees, while PSE with more than one year of service are eligible for the Consumer Driven Option with special rates.

Retirees are eligible to enroll in APWU Health Plan

For questions about the High Option or Consumer Driven Option, contact APWU Health Plan to speak with a customer service representative:

Retired Postal Service bargaining unit employees who were represented by the APWU before retirement and are members in good standing of the APWU or the APWU Retirees Department may enroll.
Retired Postal Service non-APWU bargaining unit employees and non-postal federal retirees will automatically become associate members of APWU upon enrollment.
Associate membership dues are $35/year. New members will receive a bill from APWU upon enrollment. Continuing associate members will also receive a bill for the annual dues.

Current APWU Health Plan members

If you’re a member and don’t want to change your plan for 2026, you’ll automatically be re-enrolled and don’t need to act. You can enroll in a different postal plan during Open Season if you choose.
