Eligibility and enrollment

All FEHB-eligible federal employees and retirees are eligible to enroll.

You don’t need to work for the U.S. Postal Service to enroll in APWU Health Plan. As part of enrollment, you will become an associate member of the American Postal Workers Union and be billed a $35 fee.

Enroll in your 2025 FEHB health plan today

As a federal employee or retiree, you can enroll in a 2025 FEHB health plan during Open Season, which runs November 11 – December 9, 2024.

Choose the option that works best for you:

  • Visit OPM online to download and complete the FEHB health benefits election form SF2809
  • Pick up form SF2809 in your employing office
  • Ask your agency if you can enroll online or by phone
